You must go on one of the jazz nights - jazz, good food and friends is a perfect combination!
Lobster Alive sits on pristine Carlisle Bay, one of Barbados' best beaches. Giving new meaning to the term 'truly unique dining experience', Lobster Alive offers the opportunity to choose your own lobster from a huge central distribution tank in the restaurant. When met with the challenge of having the best and freshest lobster around, the owners decided the best way was just to get it themselves.
So everyday big Caribbean spiny lobsters are caught by scuba divers in the Grenadine Islands and flown by private plane to Barbados still alive.
Besides lobster the restaurant offers a varied menu including kids meals. Cooked takeaway and delivery are also available. Reservations are strongly recommended. The restaurant offers good parking for its steady stream of traffic; guests arriving by boat can wade ashore anchorage. It is wheelchair accessible and offers beach umbrellas and a dive shop. Jet ski rides can be arranged if you so desire once your meal has settled. Summer time Schedule:
Tuesday Kool Jazz Dinner 6 - 9pm
Wednesday Lunch 12 - 4pm
Sunday Swing Jazz Lunch 12 - 4pm
Live Jazz performances every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday nights featuring: The Roger Gittens Quartet.
And the very popular Swing Jazz Sundays with 'The Crustaceans' Swing Jazz Sixtet. In the words of Art Taylor, Lobster Alive's cheery Australian owner, 'You get the freshest lobster, in a beachfront setting, with excellent service, and a bit of jazz thrown in for good measure. Come along, you'll enjoy it!'
